With this continuity tester, a voice connection can be set up and the lines can be checked for continuity. The test tone can be heard in both headphones.
- Additional INTERCOM 718 or INTERCOM 708 units can be added to the voice circuit. Each additional INTERCOM is connected in series
- Whenever a voice connection is established and both test leads touch one and the same conductor, then a test tone will be heard in both headphones.

When setting up a voice connection, make sure each voice lead is connected to a voice lead of a different color. The red voice lead of station “A” must be connected with the blue voice lead of station “B” and vice versa. Put simply: "Always connect red with blau ". The conductor pair required for the voice connection must be free of voltage and resistance.
Further INTERCOM 718 or INTERCOM 708 units can be added to the voice circuit. Each additional INTERCOM is connected in series. Here, too, connect each voice lead to a voice lead of a different color.
If a voice connection has been set up and conductors are to be checked for continuity, then make sure the test leads of one voice terminal are plugged into the front side of the tester and the test leads of the other voice terminal are plugged into the red voice conductor. (These leads can be plugged into the red 4-mm banana jack).
Whenever a voice connection is established and both test leads touch one and the same conductor, then a test tone will be heard in both headphones.
