CONTITEST^® 817 Digital DATASAFE, continuity tester, can be enabled remotely, with special functions (item-no.: 0140)

CONTITEST^® 817 continuity tester model 817 provides numerous testing functions, from simple checking of connections to testing of various semiconductors. It has the same characteristics as the CONTITESTÆ 807, but with the difference that in signal generator mode the remotely enabled AF signal consists of a 1-kHz square-wave tone rather than a sweeping tone. In addition, the CONTITEST^® 817, displays external DC and AC voltages starting at > 5 volts.
The test tone of the signal generator is only activated when current can flow between the two test leads. This is possible when a load of 100 Ω to 15 kΩ is connected to the test leads. Conductor pairs can be identified uniquely this way, because crosstalk is ruled out with this testing method.
